About this tour

Join me on this half-day private tour as we uncover the extraordinary story of Cold War Berlin through the landmarks, memorials, and border crossings that defined a divided city. Together, we will explore how four occupying powers, two competing geopolitical outlooks, and the resilience of West Berliners shaped one of the twentieth century's defining capitals. Complementing the historical narrative are firsthand insights from someone who grew up in West Berlin during the final decade of the Cold War, offering a perspective few other guides can provide.

Together we'll discover how Berlin became the only place on Earth where American, British, and French forces stood shoulder-to-shoulder, face-to-face with Soviet forces for nearly half a century under military agreements negotiated over decades. Along the way, I'll share a perspective shaped by growing up in Allied West Berlin, weaving personal experience together with the broader historical events that transformed Berlin from a divided city into the capital of a reunited Germany.
